Here’s what other women have to say about their Destiny Project experience.
I’m a true cynic, so when I heard about The Destiny Project, I thought, “probably some touchy-feely, New-Age Christian thing filled with affirmations, visualizations and lots of sharing.” But after attempts to quietly bow out, I was told, “Hey, there’s room for two more!” I signed up, albeit reluctantly. And, yes, there was something called imaginative prayer and lots of sharing, but to my surprise God showed up right smack in the middle of it. I now have a whole new sense of myself, and without sounding too over-the-top, this process is reshaping how I do life.

When I accepted the invitation to this journey called The Destiny Project, I anticipated a pathway to my career changes. I could not have imagined the fire it would ignite in me in — in all areas of my life. I’m so enthusiastic about this process of discovery that I cannot wait to see what is around the corner!

Words aren’t big enough to contain all I’ve learned about myself in these eight weeks. There is no longer tension between my creative pursuits, church, job, family and friends because all parts of my life are fully integrated. And it must be this way from now on. I understand my mission, and I’m on the path that Jesus and I have carved out. He has given me a life that is more than I ever imagined, and it’s all just beginning!

I’ve done a ton of retreats, personality tests and spiritual formation experiences in my 20 years in ministry. The Destiny Project is different. It helped connect the dots to see the bigger picture and purpose. Mostly it’s about creating a sacred space for God to reveal who He made us to be. Looking back, I see how I’ve been living out this unique identity all along, but I’ve been adding a lot of “shoulds.” I now have clarity to focus my life choices, to do and be what He made me to be — no more, no less. That’s where contentment lies.

For years I wondered if there was more to my life than being a wife and mother. The Destiny Project came at a time when I was feeling so desperate . . . almost hopeless. This process shed light on who God truly intends me to be. During the course, the other women and I cried, laughed and formed a special bond. God has a purpose for each of us, but it can be diluted by the pressures of every day life. It was amazing to connect with myself, others and God in such a powerful way.

I wasn’t really sure what The Destiny Project was going to do for me. I have been seeing therapists for 20 years for depression. I have gone through life wondering why in the world I’m here. I have been living one day at a time without a feeling of purpose. I had no sense of joy in my life. Through this process, I have discovered a new me!!! I DO have a purpose in life, and I now have the tools I need to carry out my life’s mission in Christ. I am SO thankful I heard about this project. It has had a HUGE impact on my life.

I’m so happy to be back in my flower business, as this is truly who I am. And my nearly dead marriage has been resuscitated. Now I see new growth and opportunity every day. God IS good, and He doesn’t want us to be held prisoner behind false notions of who we are and what we “should” be doing. We are created in His image and likeness, which means we are AMAZING, beautiful, life-giving, creative and powerful.

I’ve always been one to take a few risks here and there . . . but there was this barrier I couldn’t get past as a leader. God has moved me past it and in to more freedom through this process. And the fruit is so fulfilling! I can’t wait to see how He continues to open doors in my heart and life.

I highly recommend The Destiny Project to those ready to step into their full potential. You’ll discover your gifts with such clarity that you won’t be able (or even want) to contain them. Truly a gift to give yourself!

In my 59 years, I’ve been coached, trained and participated in women’s groups designed to help participants find their calling. I headed in to The Destiny Project familiar with my values, gifts and the whole “nine yards.” This process helped me connect to my heart in a different and real way, though. I now KNOW myself. Things have shifted from “head” to “HEART” knowledge. If I had something like this in my 20′s. I’d be shaking the earth today!

When asked about my experience, my one word is “transformational.” During each of the activities, I felt life changing to me in a way that was real and true. I connected with myself, with new friends, and with my good and beautiful God. Nothing felt forced; rather, the environment and the activities lead me to “meet” who I really am.

This world constantly feeds our minds and souls with lies about God and ourselves. The Destiny Project gives you the tools and space to slow down, listen to God and let His truth about who you really are wash over you. It helps you uncover the beautiful desires God has placed deep in your heart to serve and follow Him. I crawled into the weekend beaten and tired. I walked out encouraged, loved and motivated to be all that God has called me to be.

A powerful journey of revealing the dreams deep in my heart and my identity in Christ. We were in a beautiful, setting, which created space and time for this process to unfold, as well as be in a close community of diverse women. Our coach facilitated masterfully, with sensitivity to the group’s needs, as well as each individual’s needs.
